316 Edelstahlstange, auch als UNS S31600 und Grade 316 bekannt, ist ein austenitischer Edelstahl, dessen Hauptlegierungselemente Chrom, Nickel und Molybdän umfassen. Die Zugabe von Molybdän (nicht in Edelstahl 304) ist die Komponente, die Edelstahl 316 erhöhte Widerstand in stark korrosiven Umgebungen wie Salzwasser oder Chloridumgebungen verleiht. Edelstahl 316/316L Dual-Certified wird in schweren Schweißprodukten (über 6 mm) verwendet.
